Cosplayers are a unique and talented bunch of superheroes. They are able to use ordinary materials such as fabric, plastic and foam and with time, patience, craftsmanship and an ever so meticulous eye for detail turn those raw materials into amazing costumes that represent every possible fandom on earth. Each week here on House Of The Geeks we want shine a spotlight on these amazing makers and show off our favourite cosplays that they have created.
I have never read the manga series of Battle Angel Alita but I have seen some of the artwork from the series and it’s amazing. There is also an adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel coming to the big screen in 2018 courtesy of James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez.
Long before that movie ever hits the screen, one of my new favourite prop makers Evil Ted Smith has created this amazing looking Alita cosplay that was then cosplayed by his friend Holly Conrad. You can check out the making of video below that details how he was able to turn some foam into the amazing costume that premiered at Anime Expo 2016.
