The mythos of Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones that H.P. Lovecraft created has inspired countless stories, music, books, board games and even video games. His visionary works and creations have inspired countless others to create and craft mysteries and horror themed works and even today his ideas can be felt among a lot of the horror based media that is released.
Now, in 2017 we are about to see a new video game based off the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the trailer for Call Of Cthulhu: The Official Video game looks terrifying.
From what is shown in the trailer you play as Pierce, an investigator who has been tasked with uncovering a murder, a potential case of arson, something that is happening within your town and as you work your way towards unraveling the mysteries, you slowly are driving yourself insane.
The game looks intense, incredibly thematic and if it pulls off the ability to tell a highly interactive cohesive story will also be highly immersive and a game I would not want to play alone in the dark.
As of now, the release date is somewhere in 2017 but I would bet this will be a September/October release to capitalize on Halloween and the horror theme within the game.
