Since I first encountered Christoper Nolan with his non-linear, flash back heavy movie Memento, I knew he was a storyteller to watch. Then there was the amazing Prestige, the near perfect Dark Knight Trilogy, the mind bending experience of Inception, Interstellar posed some deep questions and most recently we traveled back to World War II with Dunkirk. The one thing that all of these seemingly different movies have in common is of course the masterful storytelling that Christopher Nolan brings to each film.
In a recent video from Just Write, he breaks down what makes Nolan movies so impactful in terms of story and really dives into a deep and thorough look at Batman Begins and what makes that movie work so well in terms of story.
If you’re a writer or are just interested in what makes a story work then this is a great introduction into improving your own writing or analyzing the stories of other writers.
